frequently asked questions
How many students are in our class?
20 students
Can I bring something in for my birthday?
Yes, you may bring something in for your birthday during lunch. The lunch times vary a little, but all homerooms are at lunch between 12:30 and 12:55. Please arrange this with your child's homeroom teacher prior to bringing a treat as some students have food allergies. Also, please make sure that these are not homemade treats, they must be pre-packaged or from a professional kitchen.
How can I communicate with Miss Czerney?
The agenda may be the best form of communication on a daily basis. Your student will write daily what we do in class that day, and have an "HW" next to their homework. We utilize the agenda for behavior notes, positive reports, and important messages for the school and class. Please make sure you are seeing your student's agenda EVERY NIGHT and SIGNING IT. We cannot tell if you are seeing the notes if there is not a signature. I check agendas daily in my classroom.

If you would like to set up a meeting, I would be more than willing, but please arrange a time. I enjoy speaking with you when you stop by, but for a parent-teacher conference, please schedule this in advance so that I can ensure that I am able to give our conversation my full attention.
